Rick St. Clair is a Red River Métis folk musician and songwriter. His musical sensibilities take root in the introspective lyricism and melancholic melodies of yesteryear’s folk. Nurtured by the landscapes and stories of the Prairies, his songwriting grows from the traditions and experiences of the Métis homeland.

His debut studio record, Prairie Winds (pre-order on October 12, 2026) threads the colours of the Métis experience and lifts voices and histories across time. From sweeping and cinematic textures to heart-worn and weathered lyrics, St. Clair weaves a sonic tapestry that carries stories, symbols, and songs.

To celebrate the release, Rick St. Clair will host his record release show at the West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg on Thursday, November 12. He will be joined by Red River Métis fiddler Michael Audette, performing a set of traditional Métis fiddle tunes.
